From Seoul, violinist Hanna Park is currently pursuing her master’s degree at The Juilliard School, studying with Joseph Lin, where she is a recipient of the Stephen E. Somers Scholarship and the Argyll Campbell Rice & Argyll Pryor Rice Scholarship. She previously earned her bachelor’s degree from Yonsei University, graduating Summa Cum Laude with a full scholarship under the guidance of Hyuna Kim.
As a soloist, Hanna has won numerous national competitions in Korea, including the 20th TBC Music Competition, The Sungjung, Korea Herald, Segye-Ilbo, and Kookmin-Ilbo Music Competition.
She was selected as Chosun-Ilbo Young Artist and Kumho Young Artist, two of the most prestigious honors in Korea, making her acclaimed debut at major venues in Korea such as Kumho Art Hall and the Sejong Center for the Performing Arts.
Internationally, Hanna has appeared as a soloist with leading orchestras including the Gyeonggi Philharmonic Orchestra, Gyeongbuk Symphony Orchestra, Yonsei Sinfonietta, Sunhwa Symphony Orchestra, Sunhwa Philharmonic Orchestra, and Austria’s Salzburger Orchestra.
Her solo career was highlighted by a performance at Carnegie Hall during the Yonsei Concert and by the world premiere of Michael White’s Hasidic Fantasy for Violin and Piano at The Juilliard Faculty Concert, a tribute honoring the late composer, scholar, and legendary Juilliard professor.
Hanna has participated in masterclasses with legendary violinists including Ivry Gitlis, Aaron Rosand, Rainer Küchl, Hyo Kang, Barnabás Kelemen, and Simon James, gaining invaluable insights into her artistry.
A devoted chamber musician, Hanna has honed her collaborative artistry under the mentorship of esteemed musicians such as Toby Appel, Ronald Copes, Paul Neubauer, Merry Peckham, Shai Wosner, Zvi Plesser, Aaron Wunsch, Dmitry Kouzov, David Bowlin, Nina Lee, Curtis Stewart, and Brian Hong. She has also participated in chamber music masterclasses with Joel Krosnick and Robert McDonald, further enriching her musical depth and perspective.
Beyond her solo and chamber endeavors, Hanna has demonstrated exceptional leadership as a concertmaster. She has led esteemed orchestras including The Juilliard Orchestra, Yonsei Symphony Orchestra, Yonsei Philharmonic Orchestra, and the orchestras of Sunhwa Arts High School and Sunhwa Arts School. Her ability to inspire and guide her fellow musicians highlights her commitment to the ensemble experience and her strong musical vision.
Hanna has broadened her musical horizons through participation in renowned music festivals, including Kneisel Hall Chamber Festival in Maine, Juilliard ChamberFest, Summit Music Festival in New York, and Incheon Music Festival in Korea. These experiences have allowed her to collaborate with a diverse range of musicians and further shape her dynamic musical voice.
